“对她进行尸体解剖，临床显示她的身体没有癌症，尽管没有进一步的癌症治疗。事实上，她唯一持续使用的药物就是双硫仑。”这篇文章写的并不准确，我看过《自然》上的原文，这位女士骨髓中仍然有肿瘤细胞。另外，“可抗癌”与成为治疗癌症的药物还有很远的距离，而且不可能有一种药物对所有癌症都有效，因为癌症并不是一种疾病，而是几十甚至几百种疾病。

刚问了医院的同学，这个药物国内想买还买不到，在美国也是处方药
看来想死马当活马医也没那么容易啊

"We discovered that patients who were prescribed disulfiram for alcohol dependency and continued taking the drug after they had received a cancer diagnosis had a lower risk of death from cancer than those who stopped taking the drug at their cancer diagnosis," says Jiri Bartek, professor at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, Karolinska Institutet.

仔细分析这句话，“我们发现那些酒精依赖的患者当被确诊癌症后如果继续服用双硫仑死亡的风险比那些停止服用双硫仑的患者低”。双硫仑是戒酒药，作用机制是服药后哪怕是喝一点酒就会极不舒服，而戒酒是很难的，那些停止服用双硫仑的癌症患者是不是因为没有戒酒，所以死亡风险才高于服用双硫仑的患者呢？如果是这样，这个临床研究并没有证明双硫仑本身起到了什么作用，只是证明了酗酒不利于健康，特别是癌症患者的健康，而这一点大家都知道。

The researchers also confirmed that disulfiram slows the growth of breast cancer tumors in mice, particularly if combined with a copper supplement, which was already known to enhance its effects. They then showed that when the mice broke down disulfiram, its main metabolite, ditiocarb, forms a complex with copper that blocks the machinery that cells use to dispose of misfolded and unneeded proteins. “Everything is frozen,” says cancer biologist Jiri Bartek of the Danish Cancer Society Research Center in Copenhagen, a co-leader of the study. Partly because of the resulting protein buildup, the cancer cells become stressed and die.

重点是mice，科学家们经常开玩笑说其实我们早已经攻克癌症，因为老鼠身上的各种癌症我们都有办法来治了。
